Upcoming Events

May 26th, 5:00 – 8:00 pm:  Down Under Wines, Chandler

Down Under Wines, one of the wines stores formerly known as R*d K*ng*r**, is still located at 3305 W Chandler Blvd Suite 7 and is still owned and run by Roger and Injy.  Dick Kirkpatrick, fresh back from his honeymoon in Tuscany, will be pouring Marinda Park, Young’s and Vino Noceto wines.  Stop by to see what he’s been up to.

 

May 27th, 4:00 – 6:00 pm:  AJ’s, Mesa – Summer wines

Dick will be pouring wines from Chatom Vineyards, David Girard, Vino Noceto and Young’s.   

                       

New Sales Person – Kelly Rich

One of our neighbors (that would be Cheryl) used to work for Cactus Beverage, so she is a prime candidate for selling wine for Orangewood.  I guess she got tired of me asking when she was going to start, so to get the monkey off her back she recommended a friend of hers instead.  Kelly Rich has been in sales and the hospitality business and Arizona most of her life.  She is a wine enthusiast and is currently spreading that enthusiasm to existing and new customers in the North end of the Valley.

 

Rambling

Just a short ramble today.  About every 2 or 3 months I get a request from a panicked winery owner.  “We lost all our records for the last two years” would I mind faxing all the purchase orders and invoices so they can piece things together again.  So, all those people who haven’t had a disk crash for 3 years…
